Best Dirt Bike For Beginners in 2018
Motorcycle riding was meant to be a hobby for me. A thing I liked but only wanted to reserve for my spare time. I bought my first bike a few years ago, took it out for a spin and I have been hooked
ever since. What started out as a few miles around town a couple of days a week quickly turned into a whirlwind biking adventure.
But the real excitement for me is off-road biking. Just me, my bike and nature. If this sounds like something you want to try but you are not sure where to start from, you are in the right place.
We are barely halfway through the year and a lot of companies have stepped up their designs. With so many updates to previous models, finding the best bike for beginners in 2018 is tough. Let’s
not forget the eternal 2 stroke vs 4 stroke debate.
Between, the 2 stroke vs the 4 stroke bike, which one is best for beginners? Should you get a kick-start or electric start dirt bike? I can’t answer all your question but I will weigh in on that debate. If you can afford to spend the extra cash and consider the dirt bike experience a leisure thing, go for the 4 stroke dirt bike.
If hitting the dirt road with your bike is “the life” for you, commit to the 2 stroke.
That said, I did some digging around and found some of the best dirt bikes for beginners in 2018.
KTM 250 SX-F
Put your mad skills on display with the KTM 250 SX-F. Light enough for most beginners to maneuver, this two-wheeled beast is synonymous with speed and power. The KTM 250 SX-F dirt bike is arguably the fastest 4 stroke dirt bike on the block and it has got a 1.9-gallon tank to keep you on the road longer. Warning: do not commit to this bike unless you are prepared to have an awesome time!

This dirt bike has got impressive stats. Listed as one of the best two-stroke bikes in its class, the Yamaha YZ125 offers speed, agility and wicked power. For beginners, this is a dirt bike that lets you navigate those bumps and corners with ease. The exquisite framework screams style all the way.

This is one dirt bike that can handle whatever you give it. Designed with stiffer front and rear suspenders, the HONDA CRF450R was made for those high jumps and heavy landings. Beginner dirt
bikers who want more than just a pretty bike would appreciate the strength on this machine. The price is steep but totally worth every cent. This older version of this bike was impressive, to begin with, but the new improvements, the HONDA CRF450R managed to raise the bar.

KTM 150 SX
If you are looking to become a pro biker, the KTM 150 SX dirt bike is not for you. Don’t get me wrong. This bike has got some impressive stats (peek the impressive 40.6 horsepower) but it is best
suited for a leisure biker.

This is the legend of the racing community and no list would be complete without its inclusion. Although no longer in production, the Honda CR250 remains sought after in the market. With a track record as the bike with most wins in both professional and amateur competitions globally, this is not surprising.
